Mang Tha Ring Sling at RM129

These beautiful slings are made by a group of Chin Refugee Women from Myanmar living in Malaysia, under a social development project called Mang Tha.
The program is designed to empower the women and to improve their living conditions through the making and selling of fair-trade and handmade handicraft.
More information on Mang Tha, please visit www.elevyn.com/shop/mangtha

They are 200cmx70cm, and are 100% cotton.
The rings we use are imported from the USA (www.slingrings.com) and are certified safe (tested to 250 pounds). According to slingrings.com, they can also be washed safely in a washing machine as well as dried in a dryer. To add to the security, the fold of fabric holding the rings is sewn 5 times before adding the piece of traditional fabric.
And of course, it is fairtrade and using hand-weaved fabric specific to the Chin culture.

Currently 4 colours are available : Terra (orange), green, purple and brown (picture not shown).

All proceeds from the sale of this sling goes back to PROJECT MANG THA.
